Logo for the New South Comedy Festival. This is an event in Greenville, SC, which involves stand-up, improv and workshops. The goal was to give the event a flexible system while evoking the South. A brick texture was used to evoke both the painted ads on the sides of buildings that were common in the South, as well as to evoke the brick background often seen behind comedy acts. The green calls to Greenville. The yellow and the rays portray the sun as well as the energy and the reach that comedy provides the community.
